01 — What it costs

You pay for output, not for access.

There is no monthly plan, no seat count and no rate limit tied to a tier. The only thing that costs money is generation.

Billing
Per token, at the price set for the model you pick.
Before you send
The price for that model is shown in the app, so the cost is not a surprise.
Subscription
None. Nothing renews, so there is nothing to cancel.
Top-up
USDC on Solana. Card payments are not supported in this release.

Early access: per-model prices are still being set. The app is the source of truth for the price of the model you are about to use.

02 — Fit

Good at small work. Honest about the rest.

Reach for it for

  • Drafting a short reply, bio, or product description.
  • Summarising a paragraph you paste in.
  • Rewriting something in a different tone.
  • Extraction and classification: pull the fields out, label the rows.
  • Quick questions where a sentence or two is the answer.

Do not use it for

  • Hard multi-step reasoning or maths you need to be exact.
  • Long documents — these models have small context windows.
  • Code you would ship without reading it.
  • Secrets, credentials, medical records, or anything confidential.
  • Anything where being wrong is expensive.

03 — Models

The catalogue isn't fixed.

Autarcho does not ship a list of blessed models. The gateway registers GGUF models with a price each, and the app shows what is registered — and what it costs — before you send.

Registration
Registered on the gateway with a price per model. Nothing is bundled with the client.
Availability
Shown in the app. Whether a request is served depends on an operator being online for that model.

04 — Payment

Three steps, and only one of them costs anything.

Top up with USDC.

Send USDC on Solana to your account through the app. Credit is denominated in micro-USDC so per-token billing can be exact.

Credit is reserved per message.

Before a job starts, the gateway reserves credit against the maximum cost of that job. You cannot overspend the balance.

You are charged for what was generated.

Tokens are counted as they stream. The operator who served the job keeps 80% of the charge; the protocol keeps 20%.

05 — Questions

Before you top up.

Is there a free trial?
No. There is no free credit in this release, and no way to use the chat without a funded balance. That is a product gap, not a policy — it is being worked on.
Can the operator see what I type?
Yes. The prompt is processed on an independent operator's machine. There is no end-to-end encryption in this release. Do not paste anything you would not be comfortable with a stranger reading.
What happens if a model is offline?
Models are served by operators who are online. If nobody is serving a model, it is not offered rather than silently failing. Availability varies with the network.
Why is this cheaper than a subscription?
It may not be, depending on how much you use it. It is cheaper if you use AI occasionally: you spend only what you generate. If you generate a lot, a flat plan can win. The point is that the choice is yours and the meter is visible.
